• 5:18 pm: Off to sligo with Susan driving (EEK) I didn't really mean to put
that all in caps but accidentally hit the lock key.
• 5:50 pm: Somewhere near Castlegal and there's an unlabelled castle off to the
west that's friggin huge.
• 5:51 pm: Cliffony. Passed a cute little bar that looked more like an Italian
restaurant.
• 5:56 pm: Really pretty mountain range off to the east just outside grange.
• 6:05 pm: Drumcliff high cross
We almost didn't stop here. We hadn't planned to do so and it was pure
luck that I happened to see the Drumcliff cross and suggested we stop and take a
look. It wasn't until we got up to it that we realized what we'd almost
passed by.
• 6:39 pm: Leaving. Just saw Yeats lounge bar
• 6:48 pm: Sligo, big town, large butts
• 6:53 pm: Out of sligo on the n4. Lots of clouds all around with the sun
beginning its descent to the west.
• 6:58 pm: On the n17 toward Castlebar and Westport. Pretty Irish country with
gorse all around along with pine trees, oh and sheep. everywhere.
• 7:09 pm: Just passed the turnoff for Gillighans world, the famed hill of the
fairies.
• 7:13 pm: tobercurry. Pircing uillean pipe music on rnag.
• 7:20 pm: Curry
• 7:22 pm: Bellaghy
• 7:33 pm: Swinford. police checkpoint looking for? seatbelts?
• 7:45 pm: Turlough. Church tower that looks newish but pretty just to the left
of the road. Turlough church
• 7:47 pm: We're driving through postcard country. Pretty rolling hills, stone
fences, cows, horses and trees all over. With the sun setting off to the west, everthing has lighting that is good for picture taking.
• 7:49 pm: Castlebar
• 8:05 pm: Westport (tidy town)
• 8:16 pm: Westport quay. pretty pretty pretty. lots of large houses, plano
large.
• 8:37 pm: here @ Cuaneen house
• 9:09 pm: salmon dinner @ Derrylahan pub
• 10:14 pm: roger?, man from France & Ennis on Sunday. Musicians coming in for a
photo shoot.
• 10:22 pm: sound of a moose?
• 10:26 pm: announcements

There is a wide variety of people here, pre-teens to 90 easy. We need music &
dance!
