This report’s way overdue but here’s what we did last Nov in Rehoboth. Ahhhh. The throbbing sensation in the feet that follows a full weekend of dancing. Wouldn’t trade it for just about anything. Wait, I said that last year. It’s still true though. Now, on to this year’s dancing excursion.
Sigh. The weekend is over. It started with a gorgeous morning with a bright sun and huge breakers. Padraig started off with the Kilyon Set. We then moved over to finish up the Sliabh gCua set. And wandered the boardwalk and saw dogs everywhere. Poor little bored puppy. Technorati : Cape May, Irish, Music, Rehoboth, … Continue reading Cape May 2008 Pt V
I have been suitably chastized by Jean and while Susan and I drink Jack and cokes here’s what we did with Dwayne and Margie today. This has been a seriously dance-filled day. It started out with a workshop led by Padraig McEneany on the Antrim Square Set followed by the Aherlow Set, trailed by the … Continue reading Cape May 2008 Pt IV
It’s relatively early in the morning given that we went to bed about 1am. I’m sure many other people stayed up later but we were done. After a snack of pop-tarts which is a bit of a story in itself, we collapsed and woke up to this: It doesn’t look all that different from yesterday’s … Continue reading Cape May 2008 Pt III
Wow. I’ll say it again. Wow. More details later but for now, rest. I’ll leave you with this though. Technorati : Cape May, Irish, Music, Rehoboth, dance, set Del.icio.us : Cape May, Irish, Music, Rehoboth, dance, set
The trip began with a 6:30 am flight to DC followed by a metro ride and short walking trek to meet Margie and Dwayne near their hotel. There was a definite chill in the air in DC but nothing a drive to Rehoboth couldn’t cure. With Margie driving we made it to the coast in … Continue reading Cape May 2008 Pt I
Ahhhh. The throbbing sensation in the feet that follows a full weekend of dancing. Wouldn’t trade it for just about anything. Susan, Charlotte, Bonnie and I boarded a plane Friday morning (after a bit of a scare which will remain our little secret) and jetted off to sunny New Joisey for a weekend of Irish … Continue reading Cape May Set Dance Weekend 2007

Two additional sets have been added to DanceMinder. The Lusmagh and Sliabh Fraoch. I’ve never done the Lusmagh but it looks like a easy to learn set. The Sliabh Fraoch I’ve done at Cape May 2007 and it’s a fun bouncy set.
Oh my god. This was a fun weekend. If you can ever come up with any excuse at all that will get you out to the annual Comhaltas convention(or Cape May weekend) go with it. If you like set dancing you won’t regret going to one of these events.
