You Never Go Full Mccain

From Whatever, I have to agree that there are similarities between the events, and my own bias against Romney makes me hope that John is correct in his prediction that this marks the end of Romney’s campaign.  As John says:

Here’s the thing about Mitt Romney: He’s a Republican candidate for president in the unenviable bind of not being able to run on any sort of record at all.

And further:

Which is why Romney blew up his chance to be president this week: He showed, manifestly, that he’s indeed capable of making horrible, awful, very bad, no good, terrible choices.

I’m not sure I agree with his conclusion.  I think this will be the moment that Romney and the Republicans almost blew his campaign up, but not quite.

I hope John’s right and I’m wrong.
