Wandering around St. Charles

OK, that’s what I’ll do this evening. I’ll wander St. Charles, stop in Picasso’s Coffee House, have a latte (who needs sleep?) and maybe hang out long enough to listen to some live music.

I didn’t intend to end up in St. Charles but 70 led me this way out of St, Louis and I didn’t feel like turning off 270 back to the hotel so I kept driving.

I saw signs for "Historic Main Street" and almost didn’t exit.

A u-turn later and I was driving down some very familiar streets.

Once I ran into the Railhead I realized I’d been here before on a previous business trip to Boeing.

I parked and started a trek down Main, passing closed store after closed store.

Now I’m having a warm drink in a hot coffee house listening to a group of women talking about infidelity among their family and friends.

People are weird everywhere.

I wonder when the music will start.
