I have never before heard a bunny scream, but I did last night.
Susan called me outside and quietly pointed under one of our rose bushes where I saw a little tiny baby bunny.
The thing was so young that it could barely hop and had trouble staying upright while doing so.
We chased it around a bit and Susan managed to pick him up and he started making a godawful screeching noise.
After he realized we weren’t going to eat him he quieted down but didn’t like being held much.
A moment later I spotted another baby and caught him too. He screeched like his brother (sister?) but not quite as long.
A bit later we let them go again.
