First, a picture of a sweet puppy
For those who don’t want to see PICC lines and such.

If you’re squeamish, here’s a picture of a cute puppy so you don’t have to see the follow-on pictures unless you want to. It’s not that they’re particularly graphic or NSFW but it was brought to my attention that the picture of the IV in my arm frightened a few people. I hate to frighten people by accident.
Soft puppy, Warm puppy, Little ball of fur.
Happy puppy, Sleepy puppy,
Grrr, Grrr, Grrr.
Puppy dog comes in from the rain, puppy dog rubs his face all over the floor.

Goddess helps.
I was playing around with night vision goggles last night, thinking that I might do a series of the world through NVGs. I’m not sure I’ve got enough different material for a series but the first few images were fun.
Starting with a view of our Pistacio tree.
I then stalked our puppy through the goggles.
And stopped with a shot near the patio.
After the last post, I had to post a cute picture of Chip, our rescue puppy.
Susan and I took him out to the park last month and it was quite hot at the time (not the balmy 100 degrees it’s been lately) and while we were getting cones for ourselves, we got a poochie cone for Chip.
He loooooovvvvvved it.
Spending a lazy Saturday afternoon on the patio with Susan and Chip, drinking beer, listening to music and enjoying a cool breeze in the shade.
Alright, a bit of background first.
A few years ago I needed a variable power supply and found one at a local shop that would do +-5v, 12v and 0-12v dc. It was about $70 if I remember right. It’s similar to this model. The one I have isn’t sold by Omnitron any longer.
Somehow I broke it along the way (it smelled like I let the smoke out) and it stopped being variable and instead put out 16v on the variable side and normal levels on the non-variable side.
Last night I had the time to take a look at it and opened the puppy up.
What I found stunned me.
