First photo through the telescope using my new Canon Rebel. Awesome. I’m going to spend all my dark time outside.
Nice cold evening, perfect for a bright flyover of the ISS.
The end of the flyover creating a nice comet effect as the ISS dims.
There was an awesome (there, I said it) cloud near the Moon last night after sunset. It looked almost like an expanded contrail or cometary trail leading the Moon.
Unfortunately in the time it took for me to get my camera, the cloud had faded somewhat but was still pretty.
I consoled myself by taking a closer shot of the crescent Moon.
Pictures from the lunar eclipse of 2010. Yes, it’s old but I’m re-discovering a backlog of pictures that I never posted.
Click through to see a few more pictures. It was a really good eclipse.
I didn’t manage to see any Quadrantid meteors but at least did manage to get some good star shots with Susan’s new Canon camera.
Went for a ralk with the boy and was rewarded with a great view of the Moon.
It was a good night to watch the ISS pass by the Moon.
Still catching up on the backlog. At this rate I’ll run out again in a few days.
A pretty full Moon setting in the West as the Sun crawled out of the horizon in the East.
