02/7/10

Today was quite a long day and I didn't have my Pilot with me much.  Susan spent part of the morning gathering the shots and video you see below.

Me and the pig, chilling out in the morning.

A small video of the walk we took every morning when heading to the beach.  Click on the still to view.

By the pool, looking at the entrance to the bar.  The tree to the right of center was an interesting thing.  It was almost two dimensional and had those huuuuge leaves at the end of a long stalk.  Very pretty.

We also spent some time in the morning drawing in the sand.  Some of you will know what (and many fewer, who) she's drawing.

And I decided that instead of a castle, I'd build a few beehive huts this morning.

6:03 pm no yoga. movies, drawing with Dwayne, beehive huts in the sand. Jet ski, 'ritaville, nachos, 2 ritas for susan, 1 mango rita for me, fell off trampoline. Snorkeled, saw several starfish (turned over one).
Sitting in the sun, reading. Very light rain
Now freshly washed and waiting for the real rain to stop.

We got lazy and decided that we weren't going to the yoga class today.  We only had a few days left and wanted to maximize our beach time.

The movie reference is due to the time we spent showing Dwayne the movies and pictures that I have on my pilot.

After lounging and visiting, we rented a jet-ski for a half-hour and rocketed around the bay.  It was a lot of fun as Susan and I switched several times and took the other person for a new wild ride.

Today was the day that we decided to hike from Legends to Margaritaville.  Unfortunately I think it was also the day that I succumbed to the heat.  By the time we got there, I was feeling nauseous and really just wanted to lie down and sleep.  Once we had lunch I felt better and we swam out to the trampolines they have in the water.  We jumped around a bit and as I tried to bounce off the trampoline and into the water, I managed to hit the trampoline just a bit wrong and flew off head-first.

Here's a shot at Margaritaville, looking toward the fateful trampoline.

On the way back to Legends, we started snorkeling (which is why I didn't have my pilot, we only brought things that could get wet) and collected a bunch of shells.  Unfortunately, snorkeling is a slow enterprise and after about an hour of that we went back to the beach and hiked.

This is the stand where I bought my road-chicken yesterday.  Yum.

7:22 pm been playing cards near the beach & eating dinner. The sunset is pretty but not gorgeous like a few nights ago. Momma kitty got a huge morsel from some ladies nearby.
Daddy kitty? Sandy.
